This film (originally 1,537 meters) was previously considered completely lost, until the discovery of this 345-meters fragment in the Filmoteca de Valencia. It affords a rare opportunity to observe the screen work of celebrated opera star Lina Cavalieri, a famous beauty (she was known as "la donna più bella del mondo" - "the most beautiful woman in the world") who played in many silent films. She made her cinema debut in America in 1914. This was her first Italian film; she co-starred with her then-husband, the French tenor Lucien Muratore.
