Syonopsys:
A British film recording the visit of King George V, accompanied by his son Prince Albert (later George VI), on a tour inspection of several British battleships in an unnamed location (possibly Scapa Flow?) in 1917. The might of the British navy in wartime is on display as the king meets veterans of the Battle of Jutland (1916), decorates several officers, and confers a knighthood on Vice-Admiral Pakenham, in a rare shipboard ceremony. The king’s visit is rounded off with a rousing three cheers by the assembled men, photographed from the cannon turrets above. This historical document also sports some human touches, such as the ship’s dog and cat, and a cabin boy comparing heights with the tallest man on ship.
