The film reconstructs the phases of the round-up at Monte Grappa in 1944 and the subsequent retaliation. Bassano del Grappa (province of Vicenza, Veneto) was the stage for the public hanging of 31 partisans. In a reconstruction that recalls the heroism of the partisans, we see their family environment, friends and acquaintances.
