Sergio Leone. Uno sguardo inedito
On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of his death and the eightieth anniversary of his birth, the International Film Festival of Rome could not pass up the opportunity to pay homage to Sergio Leone, one of the most beloved artists of yesterday as well as today, and one of the film-makers most admired by his contemporaries.
This volume brings together some of Sergio Leone's writings and interviews constructing a portrait of sorts through chapters which commingle with one another, evoking the complexity of an auteur who was as uncomfortable with small talk as with the tranquillity of univocality. The texts are accompanied by a rich selection of photographs by Angelo Novi (for a long time Leone's photographer of choice), which allow us to enter into the secret creative world of Leone.
